Well Well!!!

Well Well I sit here at the exchange, its 1330 hrs right now, im bored nothing to do! came here for a "major" problem that had happened at Sohar, freaking thing was solved in 5 mins! now nothing to do!
Life is such a drag here in Oman! People talk about NRI's minting money, having all the fun, living life kingsize and stuff, little do they know how F#$%ed these places are. The growth bar here grows only if u know how to be a lick @ss! This place is so F#$%ing boring.
Enough complaining already!
Lucky for me, I have a good number of friends here! Friends who were friends from school and friends of friends who are now all good friends. Life would have been such a drag here in Oman if not for them!
Lucky for most of the guys they have their families here, but the poor rest!
But anyway, we all look forward to meeting up during weekends, used to play ball, now we do football, go gaming and ofcourse all the food we are all mad about!
Then there the 5 of us, who really look forward to every Sunday and Wednesday to Jamming! (I'd love it if it were every evening). The 5 of us who didnt know that the other could atleast manage an instrument are now together as CRIMSON DRIFT!
I remember sometime last year, i had been to venie's place and i saw a guitar there, asked him whose it was, said it was his, and said about him playing when he was at college and stuff, i told him about my adventures with guitaring as well. Its then when the idea of playing together came to our mind. Appa was always there for drumming, he's been playing since a long time, at school and college, we knew it had to be him. Roshan was very much interested in the same, and took great interest in it and took up guitar classes and bought an electric guitar as well. We still had something missing, when Rohan (roshan's bro) wanted to play with us, he's the superstar of our band! the PRO keyboardist that he is, also fill in the very much essential bass, for any kinda music, without which (let me put it straight through) we sucked!
We had then this ray of hope that we can do something together!
its been over 8 months now that we have been playing together and our list of songs that we can play has grown well, real well. each one of us has improvised very much and are very much confident about pulling off any number with a little practice. Not just that we can do covers, we have like a self composition (well very much venie's) as well. Best thing is that we keep trying different things on different kinda numbers, Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven for example. Who would have thought that a beautiful piano piece would turn out to be a goth metal sounding track! serves Rocking for an intro!
And then now finally, the reward for our hard work, the small little "GIG" that's gonna happen in like 3 days time! Well u could say the first and the last one with all 5 of us together! building our careers in our respective fields is ofcourse our first priority right now, we do music to feed our hunger for the love we have for it.
It's been awesome playing together guys! best thing to happen since a long long time!

Alrite rockers ..!!! Well done so far .... .now we're almost set for our first public performance this comin wekend .... and more over ... it'll be recorded as well... ( finally we'll have good quality video's for ourselves ...hheheh !)
